You wake up to the sound of your 6:15 a.m. alarm clock, stretching and rolling over in bed. The smell of coffee wafts in the air from your kitchen, which helps pull you out bed to get your day started. You go over to your window and open the curtains. It’s early September, and the leaves are slowly beginning to change into the rich, bold colors of fall: a little yellow and orange mix into the red and blend nicely with the green.

You head into the kitchen to grab coffee and accidentally spill some on the floor. Good thing the apartment has faux hardwood flooring, which makes it easy for you to quickly wipe it with a towel. You head over to your private balcony and sit down to drink your coffee and take in the sunrise. Your dog, Gatsby, comes over and licks your hand before settling down next to you.

You check your phone: 7:00 a.m. You head back into your walk-in closet to change into gym clothes and take Gatsby out for his daily walk around the neighborhood. After getting back to the apartments and feeding him, you head down to the fully-equipped fitness center for a gym session.

After showering, you and your roommate carpool into town to meet your friend for lunch. On your way, you pass Wesleyan University and get a reminiscent flash of memories as you remember your college days. You arrive at Sweet Harmony Café, where you all discuss America’s Bitter Pill book that you’ve been reading. As you leave the café, belly full and coffee #2 in hand, the three of you head toward Harbor Park to discuss upcoming hiking and traveling plans.

When you arrive back home, you and your roommate take Gatsby out for his second walk and to play a little fetch around the playground. It starts to get a little chilly, so you all head back home to feed him and relax for the rest of the day. You light the fireplace which automatically gives your home a warm, cozy aura, and settle down to watch a few episodes of How I Met Your Mother. Gatsby hops onto the couch and cuddles next to you, and you all spend the rest of the day in comfy bliss.
