RICHMOND METRO

As a central hub in Virginia strategically placed on the James River, Richmond  and the surrounding metro area have been a key location since creation. Richmond has traditionally been recognized as a professional city for its economic importance in the law, finance and government industries. However, due to a growing population, the past two decades have seen a boost in more diverse economic areas. Known for being home to one of the 13 US courts of appeal, the legal and political cohorts thrive here as well.

The upward population trend has fueled entry-level and hospitality work while also encouraging roaming entertainment events such as sports and music to be hosted in the area. The once sleepy suburb is now a destination in its own right with in-demand festivals, concerts, and other attractions in addition to the growing dining and nightlife scene spiraling out from downtown's Grace Street. 

A pleasant climate makes outdoor events common and allows residents to make the most of long walks among the vast covering of trees and parks, though snow isn't unheard of in the winters. For those who appreciate seasons, Richmond is a wonderful place to call home.
